Meeting called to order at 6:19 p.m. by President Melissa Haddid.
Board Members for 2008 - 2009: The Board discussed open positions and who might be interested. Michelle Grillot was voted in as the new President. We need someone to take over Race Chair, as Paul Warren will take over Trips. Paul mentioned that he had a new member who might be interested, and would ask him to commit to running.
It was agreed that the club could help with the shipping costs to send collected boxes of items to Afghanistan to Wichita Ski Club member John Kimball, who is serving there. During the meeting, it was announced to the general group that donations to help defray the cost of shipping would be appreciated. Board member Paul Warren accepted those donations.
Melissa spoke about a request from the AWF - American Institute of Wine & Food, to do joint events. She had 3 events: this Sat Museum of World Treasures benefit auction for Leukemia. Tickets $40 single and $75 couple. Tax deductible. Reservations by tomorrow 2/20/08;

Dave Dodson came to speak to us about the new Yahoo sharing site for the Board. It is up and running and free.
Michelle said she had to cancel the bus for the Breckenridge trip due to only 10 people signing up. There are slots for 30 in the condos, so after she gets with Steve Ashmore to re-price the trip as a drive-out, she will send out an email.
Paul will be getting the race medals to hand out at the next general meeting.
Treasurer's report: take from her spread sheets the net amounts at the bottom.
It was moved and seconded that Michelle will replace Melissa as President for the next year. This will be announced tonight at the general meeting.
Winter Trips
FSA Race Results & Awards: The awards will be announced and presented at the March 2007 General Membership Meeting. Paul has not received the medals from Scott Branum yet.
Board is meeting on Friday evening at Melissa’s house to work with Social Chair Lori Snodell to get the social calendar in place. It takes a team effort to get a year's worth of events on the calendar and planned.
Financial Update: Cathy Stenz was unable to be present. Melissa Haddid read her report. High points are as follows:
General Meeting Location: River City Brewery has been reserved for the 3rd Tuesday of every month of 2008. This month's meeting will be downstairs because the Brewery's Social Coordinator failed to get us on the calendar for the upstairs and 2 other groups had been booked. However, for the remainder of 2008, our meeting room will be upstairs. If there is anyway we can let them know a day or two in advance of meetings larger than 20, we should call them so that they can get more staff in to wait on us. I told them that since we do not RSVP for general meetings, it would be hard to do that. In general, our biggest meeting seems to be at Trip sign up and at Christmas. However, the 2/19 meeting ended up being 37 head count, so perhaps we need to send the message out a week in advance and ask people to RSVP, so we can get a headcount.
Updates: The Membership Chair was not present at this meeting.
Newsletter: Everyone told Mark Bowman that the newsletter for last month looked great. Mark indicated that the Newsletter should be sent out via email to those who had previously received it via email as well as via regular mail.
There being no further business to come before the Board meeting, said meeting was adjourned by President Haddid at 7:15 pm.
